The typography was custom made for this project, placed above Cal's painted flowers to give a perfect place for visitors to stand and take pictures. I designed the typography to really pop off the wall, using bright whites and drop shadows underneath the lettering. Assisting Cal with this part of the mural was an absolute blast!
The celebration that followed shortly after the mural's completion was accompanied with live music, a speech from the mayor and other city representatives, and a ribbon cutting ceremony. This PR event brought people from all over the city together to experience the new mural and promote the small businesses in the surrounding area.
